Overview - Doberman Pinscher
Because the Doberman Pinscher (spelled Dobermann in some countries) came into existence at the end of the 19th century they are, in the world of dogs, the new kids on the block. This hasn't stopped the Dobie, as they are affectionately called, from becoming one of the most popular and recognized breeds in the United States. Their look is elegant and their style is athletic; the Dobie is also intelligent, alert, and loyal. They are courageous guard dogs as well as a beloved family companions.
Doberman Pinscher training
The Doberman likes to be busy both physically and mentally. They are quick learners and their training is easy. It's challenging to keep up their attention though because of their fast-learning capabilities. They usually have their own ideas of the way things go, but they don't tend to be overly stubborn or willful if you're an owner who is consistent and kind.
